General manager John Lynch made it clear the San Francisco 49ers did not want Jimmy Garoppolo to get away. Now he's putting the franchise's money behind that statement.

--Philadelphia police are turning to hydraulic fluid -- after failing with Crisco -- to deter rowdy Eagles fans from climbing street poles after Super Bowl LII on Sunday night.

The police were on the streets Sunday afternoon preparing for the crowds later in the evening by applying what they said was hydraulic fluid to street poles and signs, according to ESPN. The crew applied Crisco to street poles before the Eagles' victory over the Minnesota Vikings in the NFC Championship on Jan. 21.

Fans won the first time around in testing the poles after Philadelphia's 38-7 win to book a trip to the Super Bowl at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
