Over the years I've compiled a list of foods that helped me lose body fat and gain muscle. Eggs, red meat such as steak or hamburger from top round, turkey breast, chicken breast, fish, extra virgin olive oil (use this instead of shortening or butter), berries, oranges (vitamin C is important), apples, carrots, broccoli, tomatoes, oats, whole wheat bread, mixed nuts (good fats), yogurt, and water (drink 8-10 8 oz. glasses a day). There are many other foods not listed here but this list contains items the majority of us have easy access to and with good recipes we can make them taste great. It's a simple diet, but it works.
